Where's My Sofa?

I ordered it. I paid for it. I'm still waiting for it.

Today I bought new furniture….or so I thought

Went to Next Homeware in Lakeside today. We’d already picked out the sofa and chair we wanted so it was just a case of placing the order. It wasn’t in stock at the time but we were assured it would be non longer than 5-6 weeks. Assured I tell you!

We paid for it up front, despite the long, projected delivery time. It’s Next, right? A huge retailer with surely commendable, dependable order processing and delivery procedures. Well that’s what we decided to believe at the time.

Now to sit back (on the floor or cheap IKEA dinner table chairs) until the glorious arrival of our brand spanking new sofa and chair. Stage one – complete.

  1. Buying furniture from Next was probably my first mistake…so I’m told, anyway.
